The Loveland Innovations CAT Response Team is Headed to Harvey

In 1992, members of our team (then working at another Insurtech company) were invited to accompany a large insurance carrier to observe and help in the aftermath of Hurricane Iniki on the island of Kauai. They witnessed the devastation first hand and felt the urgency of victims scrambling to get their lives back together, which would have been nearly impossible if not for their Insurance policies. That experience left an indelible impression and gives us a deep understanding of the need to process fast, accurate and fair claims in the aftermath of catastrophic events.

We’re deeply saddened by the losses in Houston and we want to do everything we can to help. We believe in the role of insurance in making lives better, and we’re heading there to do our part.

Starting on Monday, September 18, 2017 we’ll be in the greater Houston, Corpus Christi and Beaumont areas to send our drones in the sky on behalf of Insurance carriers, independent adjusters, and their customers. With drones, roof and property inspections can be performed in less than 20 minutes, allowing for five to ten times more inspections to be done in a day.

Our aim for the next few weeks to months is to help Insurance professionals tackle more claims than they would normally be able to without drones. We’re confident that with our solution, IMGING, more homeowners can be made whole, faster.

Drones are all the buzz in Insurance right now, but many Insurance professionals aren’t equipped to use drones quite yet. Some lack the hardware, some lack the appropriate certification from the FAA, and some simply lack the right solution to help them. If you find yourself in that position, we don’t feel like that should eliminate your ability to benefit from drones, especially right now when they’re needed the most. If you’re interested, we’ll schedule one of our trained and Part 107 Certified pilots to ride along with you (or members of your team) to inspect homes using our solution, IMGING.

We’re hoping to work with as many Insurance professionals as time and resources allow to affect as many homeowners as we can. We’ll post regular updates on our efforts and what our CAT Response Team sees while on the ground in Houston. You can follow our updates:

Our hearts go out to those who’ve suffered in recent catastrophic events. Here’s to pulling together on behalf of all affected.
